On the occasion of the Ceremony announcing the Decision to establish the Branch of the University of Finance and Marketing in Quang Ngai Province, aiming to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the University of Finance and Marketing (September 1, 1976 - September 1, 2026), the University of Finance and Marketing organized and coordinated the implementation of many gratitude and social security activities with practical significance in Quang Ngai Province.

On June 15, 2026, at the Quang Ngai Provincial Martyrs Cemetery, the University of Finance and Marketing in coordination with relevant units held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Project to pay tribute to the Heroic Martyrs under the Project of embellishing and upgrading the Quang Ngai Provincial Martyrs Cemetery. This is a project sponsored by the University of Finance and Marketing, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude" and deep gratitude to the Heroic Martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The total funding is 260 million VND.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of Quang Ngai province, departments, branches, sectors, and localities; on the side of the University of Finance and Marketing were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice Rector; Dr. Bui Thi Yen Linh, Director of the UFM Branch in Quang Ngai along with representatives of leaders of units under the University.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great merits of the Heroic Martyrs. The minute of silence is a sacred moment, expressing the deep gratitude of today's generation to those who dedicated their youth and blood for the cause of national liberation struggle, national reunification, and Fatherland defense.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Rector of the University of Finance and Marketing emphasized that the project to embellish and upgrade the Quang Ngai Provincial Martyrs Cemetery not only contributes to embellishing the landscape, enhancing the value of the memorial space but also has the significance of educating patriotic traditions, gratitude, and social responsibility for cadres, lecturers, staff, workers, and students of the University.

At the program, leaders of Quang Ngai province, leaders of the University of Finance and Marketing along with delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the project. It is expected that after completion, the project will contribute to creating a solemn, spacious memorial space, worthy of the noble sacrifice of the Heroic Martyrs.

Along with the gratitude activity to the Heroic Martyrs, the University of Finance and Marketing also coordinated with the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Mo Cay Commune, Quang Ngai Province to hold the Groundbreaking Ceremony to build a Friendship House for Tran Thi Bich Loan - a 10A3 class student, Pham Van Dong High School, who has particularly difficult family circumstances.

This is a youth project implemented by the Youth Union of the University of Finance and Marketing with a total support budget of 60 million VND. The project was carried out with the desire to help Bich Loan's family have a solid home, stabilize their lives, and at the same time provide more motivation for her to feel secure in her studies, nurture her dreams, and rise in life.

Attending the program were representatives of local leaders, departments, mass organizations of Mo Cay commune, representatives of the Quang Ngai Provincial Youth Union. On the side of the University of Finance and Marketing were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice Rector; Dr. Bui Thi Yen Linh, Director of the UFM Branch in Quang Ngai along with teachers leading the units, representatives of the School Youth Union and Tran Thi Bich Loan's family.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat emphasized that building the Friendship House is not only a meaningful social security activity but also demonstrates the responsibility and affection of the collective of officials, lecturers, and students of UFM towards the local community. When officially establishing the Branch in Quang Ngai, the University not only brings learning opportunities and trains high-quality human resources but also desires to accompany the locality in activities for the community, taking care of the younger generation, and contributing to the sustainable development of the province. The new house is expected to provide more motivation for Tran Thi Bich Loan and her family to overcome difficulties, rise in life, and at the same time is the first mark for the long-term bond between UFM and the homeland of Quang Ngai.

Tran Thi Bich Loan currently lives with her family in Residential Area No. 2, Minh Tan Bac, Mo Cay Commune, Quang Ngai Province. Her family has 6 members and faces particularly difficult circumstances; her father had a traffic accident, his health declined, and he is no longer able to work stably; her mother is a freelance worker with an unstable income; her older brother is currently doing military service. The house the family is living in has seriously degraded, many items are damaged, frequently leaking and flooded every rainy season, directly affecting the living and studying of the family members.

Through the practical survey process, the Youth Union of the University of Finance and Marketing realized this is a case needing timely support. Thence, the Friendship House project was implemented with close coordination between the University and the local government to help her family soon stabilize their residence, easing difficulties in life.

At the ceremony, local leaders, school representatives, and Tran Thi Bich Loan's family performed the groundbreaking ceremony, marking the beginning of the journey to build a new home for her family. It is expected that after completion, the new house will bring her family a safer, more spacious, and stable living space; and at the same time, it will be a great source of spiritual encouragement for her to continue studying, training, and pursuing her dreams.

The projects implemented in Quang Ngai are practical activities of the University of Finance and Marketing aiming to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the University's Traditional Day. Over nearly half a century of formation and development, alongside the task of training high-quality human resources, the University always focuses on carrying out activities for the community, social security, and responsibility to the locality where the University sets its development footprints.

Through gratitude activities and the Friendship House project, the University of Finance and Marketing continues to affirm its development motto associated with serving the community; and at the same time spreads the spirit of compassion and social responsibility, contributing to building a strong relationship between UFM and Quang Ngai province in the new development stage.
