In the last days of November, facing the heavy damage caused by rain and floods in many Central and Central Highlands provinces, the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) launched an emergency support program, mobilizing the participation of all officials, lecturers, staff, workers, and students. On the morning of November 26, 2025, the university's delegation set out to award scholarships and support gifts to students in Dak Lak (former Phu Yen area), Gia Lai (former Binh Dinh area), and Khanh Hoa provinces affected by storms and floods.

The delegation included representatives of the Party Committee, Board of Rectors, Trade Union, Youth Union, and UFM students led by Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice Rector. At the destinations, the delegation plans to award scholarships, school supplies, necessities, and spiritually encourage the students, while also conducting field surveys to have suitable support plans in the coming time. This activity continues to affirm the spirit of compassion and community responsibility of the University of Finance and Marketing, joining hands with the locality to help students soon overcome difficulties after the natural disaster.

UFM at Ha Huy Tap High School (Khanh Hoa)

Within the framework of the business trip to support students affected by natural disasters, the first stop of the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) Delegation was Ha Huy Tap High School, Khanh Hoa Province.

Here, the delegation awarded100 million VNDto support the school to overcome the consequences caused by storms and floods. Besides, UFM also donated05 full scholarships, total value150 million VND, for 05 students of Ha Huy Tap High School admitted to UFM in the 2026 admission period. This is a practical source of encouragement to empower them to continue their learning path under difficult conditions after the natural disaster.

In addition, the delegation also awarded100 relief gifts (including notebooks, pens, noodles, milk, cakes, sausages) and clothesto affected students and households, contributing to sharing some of the losses and damages of the local people.

UFM at Nguyen Viet Xuan Secondary & High School and Tran Phu High School (Dak Lak)

Overcoming 160km from Khanh Hoa, on the morning of November 27, 2025, the delegation of the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) visited and presented gifts at Nguyen Viet Xuan Secondary & High School, Dak Lak Province.

Here, the delegation of the University of Finance and Marketing awarded100 million VND in cashto support the School and the locality in overcoming damages caused by natural disasters,05 full scholarships, total value150 million VND, for 05 students of the school admitted to UFM in the 2026 admission period. Besides, UFM donated05 scholarships, each worth30 million VND, aiming to encourage students in difficult circumstances to continue their learning path.

The delegation also awarded03 old computer sets, with a total budget15 million VND, contributing to supplementing teaching and learning equipment for the School under conditions of many shortages.

In addition, UFM brought100 necessity giftsfor students and severely affected households. The delegation also plans to present additional support gifts to people in the commune, with a total cash support level of about30 million VND.

In addition, the UFM Delegation also went to Tran Phu High School in Tuy An Bac commune, Dak Lak province (former Phu Yen) and presented to 30 households here, each household 3 million in cash and many other gifts.

UFM at Hung Vuong High School and Bui Thi Xuan High School (Gia Lai)

Ending activities in the former Phu Yen province, now Dak Lak. The UFM delegation continued to travel a distance of more than 80km to Bui Thi Xuan High School and Hung Vuong High School in the former Binh Dinh province, now Gia Lai province.

At each school site, the delegation awarded70 million VND in cashto support the School in overcoming difficulties after the recent storm and flood. Besides, UFM donated03 scholarships, each worth30 million VND, aiming to provide more motivation for students in difficult circumstances to continue pursuing their learning dreams.

In addition to financial support and scholarships, the delegation also awarded50 gift setsincluding essential necessities for affected students and families. These gifts contribute to helping children and relatives overcome the immediate difficult period, stabilize their lives, and feel secure returning to school.

The business trip to Gia Lai marks an important milestone in UFM's journey to support the Central - Central Highlands, demonstrating the sense of responsibility, sharing, and commitment to accompanying localities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, helping students in affected areas have better learning conditions.

UFM launches a university-wide movement towards the Central - Central Highlands provinces

Responding to the call of the Youth Union and the School Trade Union, the UFM collective unanimously contributed both materially and spiritually to share the difficulties with the people in the affected areas. Gifts including instant noodles, dry provisions, milk, warm clothes, notebooks, and essential necessities were received at the school's points, then classified, packed, and prepared for transportation by UFM students and staff.

At the same time, officials, lecturers, and trade union members of the University also contributed 02 days' salary according to the call letter of the Grassroots Trade Union; all funds will be used to buy more suitable necessities to send to people in flooded areas.

With a spirit of responsibility and affection, this activity to support compatriots in the Central and Central Highlands continues to affirm the tradition of kindness and solidarity of the UFM collective – always ready to accompany the community in the most difficult times.

UFM supports tuition fees for students with permanent residence in storm and flood areas

The University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) has just announced the deployment of a tuition fee support package for students with permanent residence in 3 localities directly affected by natural disasters including Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa. The policy applies to regular students of courses 22D, 23D, 24D, and 25D. The list of eligible students will be updated before December 10, 2025.

Eligible students are granted a 10% reduction in tuition fees for Semester 1 of 2026, calculated based on the actual incurred fees. The reduction will be directly deducted on the UIS system. In addition, UFM also extends the tuition payment deadline to February 28, 2026 for this group of students.

The extension is implemented automatically, students do not need to apply or take any further action. Students in affected areas, unable to travel to school during exam periods, are allowed to apply for supplementary exams accompanied by evidence related to storms and floods. Registration is done online via the personal page, exam schedule section.

For cases with particularly difficult circumstances, the university encourages students to contact the Student Affairs Office, Youth Union, or Student Association for further support.
