I. Position and Functions

The Student Affairs Department is a functional unit of the University of Finance - Marketing (UFM), serving as an advisory body to assist the Rector in managing and implementing tasks related to full-time students. Core functions include:

  • Political and ideological education.
  • Student management and discipline.
  • Implementation of student policies and benefits (scholarships, tuition exemptions, etc.).
  • Ensuring security, order, and social safety among students.
  • Management of boarding (dormitory) and non-boarding students.
  • Organization of student movements, extracurricular activities, and psychological counseling.
  • Coordination of academic advising and student healthcare services.

II. Key Responsibilities & Powers

The Department carries out 36 specific duties as assigned by the University. Some of the major responsibilities include:

  • Education & Orientation: Organizing the annual "Citizen - Student Activity Week", political education programs, and promoting the guidelines of the Party and State.
  • Student Services & Policies: Managing student profiles, issuing student ID cards, handling social benefits, tuition fee exemptions/reductions, and managing student health insurance.
  • Dormitory Management: Overseeing the operations of UFM dormitories, ensuring a safe, clean, and civilized living environment for boarding students.
  • Health & Counseling: Providing basic health care, first aid, annual health check-ups for staff and students, and operating the school's psychological counseling services.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Coordinating with the Youth Union and Student Association to organize cultural, artistic, sports events, and social/volunteer activities.
  • Rewards & Discipline: Evaluating student training points, handling disciplinary actions, and organizing commendation ceremonies.

Mr. Nguyễn Thành Đông

Mr. Hồ Trung Hậu

Responsibilities: Healthcare, medical propaganda, initial health care for staff and students, and managing the Tan Binh & Phu Nhuan Campuses.

IV. Dedicated Staff Teams

The Department is supported by a dedicated team of 22 specialists and staff members divided into specific functional groups:

  • Student Policies & Administration: Handling scholarships, rewards, tuition assistance, student IDs, and administrative records.
  • Student Activities & Psychology: Organizing events, psychological counseling, and tracking training points.
  • Dormitory Management: A team of staff assigned to directly manage the dormitories at Long Truong and District 7 campuses, ensuring a safe living environment.
  • Healthcare (Medical Station): Nurses and medical staff stationed across campuses to provide first aid, health insurance guidance, and epidemic prevention.
